Herbal Cancer treatment could be the cure for cancer
Now many studies are coming out showing that Cannabis aka marijuana successfully and safely fights Cancer. THC the active chemical in cannabis is a well know effective medicine for a variety of conditions. Now it could be shown that it is the cure for several types of cancers. According to many accredited medical studies.

Pharmaceutical companies are spending 10′s of millions on this research right now. Marijuana will finally get the respect and research that it has deserved for so long.
This won’t mean legalization immediately but it will pave the way for rescheduling marijuana as a Schedule 2 or possibly something else. But it certainly can’t remain a schedule 1 drug much longer.
I’ve got a petition at xcannabis. com for rescheduling cannabis. Please sign it!

The proposition that Cannabis can cure breast cancer is absolutely ludicrous and to anyone that has even a remote understanding of biomedical science, it is pure comedy. Sorry guys, but Cannabis is absolutely not a cure for cancer and it never will be.

Every time you post you lend yourself less credit. Contact the scientists at California Pacific Medical Center. Dr. Sean McAllister would be someone to talk to, he is featured in this video.

When you make very un-scientific statements such as “Cannabis is absolutely not a cure for cancer and it never will be.”
Tells me that Dr. Sean McAllister may ask if you wish to be sterilized so that you can’t produce offspring. Let’s hope your reply is “yes”.

The definition of a “cure for cancer” is defined as something that is effective at eliminating 100% of the cancer cell population in 100% of the patients tested 100% of the time with a 0% chance of recurrence/remission. I checked all 11 (which by the way is a very weak record for a PhD) peer-reviewed publications which were all in journals with IF<15 (which is not particularly significant) and none provided evidence to prove my preceding statement.

Furthermore, in none of the 11 papers McAllister has produce has he used actual cancer patients. Most of his studies are in human cancer cell lines and the closest he comes to is a mouse model. To put this into perspective for someone who clearly doesn’t have a science or medical background such as you, 1/10000 molecular leads that are successful in pre-clinical in vitro and in vivo testing FAIL in Phase I clinical trials.

To shut down uneducated fools such as you even more, both this video and all of McAllister’s papers deal with cannabidiol and cannabinoid receptors, the former of which is an organic derivative of Cannibis and the latter is present in the organism. In other words, I once again repeat my initial statement that “Cannabis is absolutely not a cure for cancer and it never will be” because McAllister is talking about the cannabidiol molecule NOT Cannibis itself.

Sorry to disappoint the desperate drug addicts like you who are looking for anything and everything to support your degenerate lifestyles but you have to look somewhere else. Also, the “California Pacific Medical Center” produces work that is laughable at best when it compares with work being done in REAL cancer research institutions (Sloan-Kettering, Dana-Farber, Sidney-Kimmel, M.D. Anderson (which is where I’m currently doing my post-doc at), Mayo Clinic, Ivy League institutions etc.).

You would be well informed to know that Anju Preet, PhD, a Harvard University researcher in Boston who tested the chemical also agrees with this assessment that cannabinoids (i.e. cannabis) fights lung cancer tumors effectively.

I don’t have cancer. This research doesn’t specifically benefit me.
I have lost several to cancer already, and my father has been diagnosed with Glioblastoma.
The research found at SethGroup. org shows that cannabis is effective of killing cancerous brain cells.

and plus, if there was nothing good about pot, then why would researchers even bother testing anything to do with pot? because they see hope in some of its compounds, and if you were dying of cancer or your child had cancer, i’m willing to bet every cent that i earn this year from my investments that if they said smoking marijuana would make cancer disappear, you would try it or give it to your child…then i’d like to see you call your child a drug addict or a degenerate, you ignorant prick.

USCongress, why are you so against the possibility of helping someone’s life? Sure, it may not be a ‘cure’, but if using Cannabis helps anyone with cancer in ANY possible way then it should be researched further. I agree that it may not be a 100% cure, but it has shown numerous times that increases a patients quality of life far more than chemo or any other man made drug.
