Protesters Disrupt Senate Hearing on Health Care
At the start of a Senate Finance Committee hearing on health care financing several nurses stood to protest their exclusion from the witness table as supporters of government-run health care programs. Several others in the audience then spoke out in favor of a single-payer system before being removed from the hearing room.

Thats a matter of perspective.
The grass is always greener on the other side……Thinking like this is the reason our economy, society and country in general are in free fall.
While you’re looking at other countries, might I suggest that you peruse the real estate and job posts of those other countries?
September 8th, 2009 at 5:33 pm
Government in this country exists ONLY to protect the rights of the individual to govern themselves.
That was the intent of the ones that founded this country and seeing as how they sacrificed a whole lot more then I ever have, I’m inclined to respect their ideals.
Yes Government Education, Scholarships, Grants etc are a bad idea.
Personally I have issue understanding the inability to realize this truth but to each their own.

Sen Baucus, you can kiss my fucking ass. Piece of shit human being.

Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution states: “The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and GENERAL WELFARE OF THE UNITED STATES; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States”. So there it is! Congress is authorized to enact health care legislation that ensures the GENERAL WELFARE, and is authorized to levy taxes to fund it. End of Discussion!!

Here is another novelist and her writings: “I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.” – Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. AS is about Socialism, Communism and Fascism.

Nothing is guaranteed, nor is it free. You tax the wealthy too badly and they leave the country. When they leave, your trickle up poverty will only be poverty. Their taxes to pay for FREE HEALTHCARE go with them! “Uh-oh…that means nobody’s gonna pay for it?!” My response: Damn right genius! Welcome to the club of late-comers-who-didn’t-get-it-until-too-late. If you don’t believe me, rich people are already doing this on a small scale by leaving high tax states up north and out west.
September 19th, 2009 at 2:45 am
Actually scienceofthings it’s very obvious you have no idea of what goes on outside the United States. Here in Canada, it IS guaranteed. In the UK and France, it IS guaranteed. In Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Denmark, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, Monaco, Australia and New Zealand, it is ALL GUARANTEED! How is it we can do this and you can’t? Are you really that incompetent that the USA cannot afford to go single payer and SAVE money? Your lies help Satan
September 19th, 2009 at 4:37 am
My only comment on that entire praise of the international community. Is that, the United States of America is a place where religion still matters. Europe is not. And, therefore you cannot just throw “satan” around as an insult, can you?
No, you don’t know a damn thing about religion in Europe. You all hate it, and soon you’ll all become just as godless as Russia became under the Soviet Union.
September 19th, 2009 at 5:52 am
Read my comment again. I’m a Canadian, not a European. I know more about the United States than most Americans. (Like every state capital for instance.) I’ve lived in the USA as well. As far as religion still mattering, what does that have to do with health care? Does the land that still praises Jesus not believe in helping their fellow man as Jesus taught? Your comment makes no sense. Why cannot the land that still praises Jesus give free health care to all? Jesus would.
September 19th, 2009 at 5:55 am
As an aside, there are two other things. One is that if you think that Europe is godless, I dare you to go to Italy and trash-talk Jesus just to see how long it takes for you to get your ass beat, yet they have free healthcare as well. Two is that the Soviet Union was far less corrupt than the current “free states” that were formerly Soviet. It went from communism to organized crime, to me, that’s a step backwards.

My knowledge of other places isn’t necessary since I don’t vote or live in those places. Also, I refuse to take criticism from someone in a country which remains safe only because it shares a border with us. We have boy scout troops more capable and in bigger numbers than your military. You are negated. Dismissed.
September 22nd, 2009 at 7:03 am
I know every state capital as well.
Heedless, you obviously are just as godless as Europe in Canada, because you refer to us as “those who still worship Jesus”.
So, since you’re not a Christian, how can you tell me what Jesus WOULD do. It is very dangerous indeed to interpret the edicts of our lord.
If you are wrong, then you may suffer damnation for it. Also, Jesus makes everyone sick. He made Job sick. Everything that happens is his will. Including ppl dying.
September 22nd, 2009 at 7:05 am
Well, as a DIRECT answer to the first thing.
I am Italian. And I can tell you, that the liberal secularism of my home country is INDEED characteristic of the rest of Europe. Sure, they may be 90% Roman Catholic, but how many practice? Religion is dying there too. No where in Europe is it growing. Thanks to secularism. It matters not though, the Lord cares not how few of his flock follow him, and which are led astray.
September 25th, 2009 at 3:31 pm
the millions of dollars bacchus has taken from the insurance and other companies to keep single payer off the table is blood money. plain and simple. england, canada france and even cuba do health care better than us. the health care debate in america is horribly pathetic. it is completely doable. the groups who send people with guns to town hall meetings give a hint of how much corporate money is to be lost if we were to go single payer.
this is not a democracy. it is a corpratocracy.
September 27th, 2009 at 1:54 am
If you are representative of just how the corruption of man has perverted the original Christian word, it’s no wonder that people are leaving religion. I bet god HIMSELF is scratching his head and looking at you wondering “Didn’t I make GREED one of the seven deadly sins?” You sir are quite guilty of that. As for me, since I’m not the one trying to claim godliness, my sins don’t matter. Difference is, I’m not hypocritical. I don’t sin and tell others not to as you are doing here.
September 27th, 2009 at 1:56 am
Yes, we’re protected…. from what? Nobody wants to attack Canada. The biggest way you protect us is by being the arrogant pricks that you are and effectively pinning a paper target on your asses. Your country is incredibly young and knows very little. My country takes advice from its parents (UK, France). You can say I’m negated all you want because the USA is still a laughing stock around the world because of what greedy, uncaring soulless bastards so many of you are! YOU are dismissed.
September 27th, 2009 at 3:07 am
Baucas is a joke..he says on Thursday the repubs are slowing down the meetings…then the next day he cahnges his mind and calls a recess until next Tuesday and nothing has been put on the computer for anyone to read..so much for the promised transparancy…all these guys need to be thrown out of office..
September 27th, 2009 at 5:48 pm
Not yet, people always want more so if the U.S. falls to some other power, what will you do then? Give the invaders that same crappy excuse, “You don’t want us, no one does.” I don’t care for useless opinions, by that rationale, but thanks anyways. America may be doomed, but we have done more for the world, sometimes against our will and brains, to make it better. Our country is incredibly successful and we are (or used to be) responsible citizen adults.
September 27th, 2009 at 5:52 pm
People ignorance is disturbing, American and yours alike. Thomas Hobbes wrote in favor of a controller, a king, or group of people and said the masses were children. Unfortunately when we stop being forceful, but rational adults, we get treated like children. John Locke refuted this and was in favor of reasonable adults governing themselves with limited government…sound familiar? That is why the U.S. was successful and was able to provide opportunity.
September 27th, 2009 at 5:58 pm
No, you are still a fool and you are still dismissed. The only reason we are a laughing stock is because we are dumb enough to keep helping and supporting whiny, foolish nations and people who hate us. Most of us aren’t uncaring, we are generous. Most of us aren’t soulless, we have more good resting on our souls than you probably do, and most of us aren’t greedy, we simply use the genius tools the founders left for us to work for BETTER LIVES.
September 27th, 2009 at 5:59 pm
You are the bastard of your parent company, we are the envied and successful child who rebelled. It paid off because all of the ungrateful people of the USE us, then spit in our faces and we are damn sick of it!
September 29th, 2009 at 5:22 am
Yeah, so there is no indication that I’m greedy in any of my posts. I can assure you I’m not. The only thing I want in life is to increase the power of my Lord Jesus Christ.
Also, you’re sins do matter, everyone will be arraigned before the judgement of Jesus Christ, even you. That is all I have to say to you.

Baucus is bought and paid for by the insurance lobby. America needs a single payer system.
October 9th, 2009 at 8:15 am
Baucus is a scumbag, he is not representing the people, he is a fraud and should be in exposed to biotoxin. Let’s hope he gets cancer, loses his insurance, and dies painfully, slow. If that happens and he still believes in his bill, then he is an honest man.
