If the government option is better than private insurance companies can be for cheaper, than it will be giving us good affordable healthcare without all the scary “canada waiting” crap we’ve heard from it’s detractors. If the government option is lousy than people will return to private healthcare, who will have to provide quality to justify their price, which they don’t currently do, the way I see it, it’s not that scary. We are not turning to socialism- we will forever be a capitalist nation.

The notion that the Goverment can provide health care more efficently and cost effectively than the free market is absurd.
Health care is going to cost– a lot. And WE are the ones who are going to pay for it: higher with higher taxes, withholding or some other indirect method.

I work in Health Care, money and life DO NOT MIX.
You do not work in Healthcare, you work in an office, money grabbing, even though you don’t get the money in YOUR pocket.
You make someone else richer, even more richer.
I see patients for free when they have no money, rather work for free than them die.
I would make an exception to the nolifestyle.
One day you will be dying in bed, or mangled in an ER, and I hope the medical bill comes back to haunt you.

Well ,the government hospitals in Sweden and Germany are superior to the private hospitals in America . How exactly will the government ruin health care ? The care will be the same you just won’t be paying 30% to insurance companies . Health Insurance companies make no products , provide no services or care , perform no tests etc . They are simply a middleman between the patient and the doctor . They are raking it in while denying their own customers service whenever they can . Wake up people !

Obama himself has said that medicare is unsustainable. He talks about the massive fraud and waste in it. It’s been around for about 50 yrs, and they have NEVER tried to fix it. Health care will be many times larger, and so will the fraud, waste, etc. Do you know why people are willing to pay more for FEDEX and UPS than use the Post Office. Because the Post Office stinks. It’s inefficient & poor service. It’s always on the verge of bankruptcy and always getting more tax money.

I noticed in the news that Britain sent a secret envoy to meet with M Gorbachev to convince him NOT to allow Germany to reunite or free Eastern Europe from their murderous, brutal, repressive communist governments because that would be “inimical” to British and French interests.
I wonder how the Eastern Europeans, especially East Germans, are going to feel about your Britain and France when this despicable act becomes common knowledge there.
