Strep Throat-Take It Serious

If you have ever had to deal with strep throat you know how much of a downer it is. It slows you down and if not treated can actually you to get even sicker and eventually die. I know this for a fact as one of my relatives did not get her strep treated and it gained momentum infecting her internal organs especially her heart which lead to her untimely death in her thirties.

I have had this illness about 4 times in my life. The first time I did not get it treated right away thinking I could ride it out. After about a week I was so sick and amped up on Anacin that I finally had to go and get checked out. The funny thing is I was given a Zpack (antibiotics) and bounced back in a day or two. What a lesson. A friend of mine came down with strep. He showed me the white sores in his throat….he had it alright. He told me that he was going to buy a bottle of Jack Daniels Whiskey and drink the whole thing in one sitting. He theorized that this would do the job and kill the bacteria. I think it actually did however he never told me. He tried to always be a tough guy which I would not recommend when it comes to illness and health issues.

Following a good vitamin and supplement plan is recommended which will help to support the immune system.

Ever since my first bout with this very uncomfortable condition I have since gone immediately for a throat culture to make sure and if needed get the antibiotics fast. I do not get sick often maybe once per year. Strep is no fun at all and if you think you have the symptoms (look them up on WebMd or Google it) take it serious. If you do not you are only gambling with you health, just not worth it in my opinion.
